The Early Childhood Center at the Indiana Institute on Disability and Community, Indiana University-Bloomington sponsors and supports this site as a free service to agencies and organizations that provide research, training, services, and resources to Indiana's early childhood communities. In addition to an events calendar, the site provides a listing of research initiatives, early education career opportunities, news, and agency and organization profiles.

Additional funding is provided by DHHS/HRSA's Maternal and Child Health Bureau to the Indiana State Department of Health, Maternal and Children's Special Health Care Services, Sunny Start Project to support the Family Information and Resource Directory beginning in August 2006.

The Family Information and Resource Directory is organized around four general topic areas:
  • Community resources and financial assistance
  • Child care and early education options
  • Health care
  • Parenting resources.

  • Families can select a topic area and click on their county or surrounding counties to find available services.
